Given their elevated position within the town, these apartments together with numerous outhouses had taken a severe battering by the elements over the years and had not been repainted for some time. Pressure-washing removed much of the unstable paintwork to the exposed areas of the building, so the walls then required two coats of stabiliser before being finished in some parts by up to four coats of white masonry paint. The classic white finish with black detailing was a big hit with all the residents, inspired by another project in Loddiswell, which we had completed in a similar theme.
